Helix
Pathology Goes Live with MDR Medical Systems Laboratory
solution.
Over the last twelve
months, Helix Pathology has elected to progressively update its
IT systems, utilising MDR Medical Systems solutions. This
process culminated in the recent implementation of the MDR-APLIS
(anatomical laboratory system) which represents a giant leap
forward in their IT and administrative capabilities.
The introduction of the new
Windows-based laboratory management system provided Helix
Pathology with the perfect opportunity to evaluate their
laboratory and administrative procedures which lead to improved
patient reports, faster report delivery and reduced
administrative overheads.
MDR-APLIS interfaces seamlessly with
MDR-Bill, MDR-Web Results, MDR-ScanIt and all other modules
within the MDR suite of applications.
As with any major installation
requiring the conversion of more than ten years’ worth of data,
the implementation team weathered a few bumps and had some
longer work days, however, the system successfully went live
on Monday 30th July. With the implementation of MDR-APLIS, Helix
Pathology is the first MDR Medical Systems client to upgrade
their patient billing to the new Medicare Client Adapter,
utilising 64-bit technology.
Dr Lloyd McGuire & Dr Corwin Willys are
pleased with the number of new system features and service
delivery options with will better enable Helix Pathology to
serve Queensland's medical specialists and their patients.
Mr Mark Richardson, Managing Director
of MDR Medical Systems, is delighted to have completed the long
awaited transition and looks forward to working with Dr McGuire
and staff as they move towards additional online result
delivery options.
